+ How does the whole process work?

Step one, you contact me and let me know your idea for your session! We work together to finalize all the details, and then I’ll send over a contract with all the info. You’ll sign that and send it back to me with a 50% deposit to secure your spot! (The remaining balance will be due on or before your session.) On the day of your session, we will meet at the designated spot and have a great time capturing all those precious moments! Afterward, I’ll go through all your photos, and send you the very best ones within 2-4 weeks. All your final images will be delivered via an online gallery for you to download and use however you want!

Don’t worry one bit! I’ll be there to help you every step of the way and will tell you exactly how to position yourself and what on earth to do with your hands. My job is to help find the most flattering and natural poses to make you look your best, and capture all those radiant smiles along the way!

+ When is the best time for getting our photos done?

The best window of time is called the “golden hour,” which is about an hour before sunset. That’s when the light is the softest and makes for some dreamy photos!

+ I’m not sure where I want to go… Do you have any recommendations?

Absolutely! I have all kinds of suggestions for beautiful spots depending on the vibe you are going for! Let me know what you are thinking, and I’ll send over some of my favorite places.

+ What should I wear?

Something that you feel amazing in! For family pictures or larger groups, it is better to go with complimenting outfits, rather than matching ones. Pick a color palette and build your outfit choices around that! You can add in some variety by using textures or patterns that go with your color choices. + Do I need to send you a “shot list” of poses I like?

I like to capture my clients in the most authentic, real, way possible, so I prefer to not copy a list of poses. Rather than duplicating someone else, I want to discover how to make you look your best, and bring out all those same emotions naturally!

That being said, if there are some specific groupings of people you want to make sure to get (bride’s family, all the cousins, the couple and their best friends, just the kids, mom and dad only, etc.) please let me know about those! We will make those a priority for any shoot!

+ When can I expect to receive my images?

For normal sessions, I’ll send over a sneak peak within the week, and all the rest will come 2-4 weeks after. For weddings or special events, you’ll get some sneak peaks that week, and the rest of your photos 4-6 weeks after the big day!

+ How far in advance should we book?

I would typically recommend contacting me two weeks before you're hoping to have your session, just so that we can compare schedules and leave a little bit of wiggle room!

+ How many photos will we receive?

For a mini session, you can expect around 15-20 final images. With a normal session, I usually deliver 45-50 images. Weddings will vary on the amount of final images, but typically you’ll receive about 75 images per hour of shooting time. (So, an 8 hour wedding will have about 600 final images!)
